JH Football begins vs. Bloomfield/Wausa
The Osmond Tigers junior high school football team began its season in Osmond on Monday, September 8 as they fell to Bloomfield/Wausa 48-20.
Bloomfield/Wausa scored early and, although the Tigers made some big plays throughout the game, they were able to put together several big plays and control the game.
The junior high Tigers are comprised of mainly seventh graders. However, they do have three eighth graders who contribute in large part to the team’s offense, defense, and special teams.
This year’s eighth graders include Nick Reikofski, Jerrod Besmer, and Dylan Schmidt.
The seventh grade players include Zach Alderson, Mason Bykerk, Aaron Chishiba, Nate Christensen, Josh Ganseom, Justus Maertins, Matt Oltjenbruns, Alexis Solorzano,Landon Stelling, Logan Stelling, and Keaton Timmerman.
Chishiba scored twice. Once on a long run in the first quarter and then again on a kick return for a touchdown.
Reikofski scored on a touchdown pass from Timmerman.
The Tigers will play Monday, September 15 at home against Allen.
