4TH GRADE LINCOLN FIELD TRIP
BY KELLY SCHUETTLER
LINCOLN- On Thursday October 8th, the Osmond Elementary School fourth graders took a trip to Lincoln along with Mr. Guenther and Mr. Brown.
The first place they stopped was at Memorial Stadium for a 10:00am tour. They had the chance to tour the practice facilities, weight rooms, hall of fame, and even the chance to do the tunnel walk and run out onto the playing field. Then they lined up to take a class picture in the middle of the field.
Lunch was next on the agenda. They sat out in front of the stadium on campus to eat their lunches. The students enjoyed the beautiful weather and even watching all the squirrels.
At 12:00pm they began their self tour of Morrill Hall. The students had the chance to see the artifacts that they are studying about in Nebraska studies. They found it very interesting all the Native American items with all the fossils from so long ago.
The last place they went to was a 3:00pm tour at the state capitol. They were guided through the halls getting to see the beautiful artwork and design of the building.
Before the students went to the 14th floor for the scenic view of the city they had a chance to sit in the highest court in the state.
There they learned about the three branches of government. The students had a fun and learning experience.
