Tigers stalk success in 2015
A strong core of Tiger returners highlight a 24-man roster for the 2015 Tigers as they work to succeed in their upcoming season.
The OHS football team has 24 members going out.
Of these 24 members the returning lettermen include: Caleb Krohn (12), Max Frank (12), Dante Schmit (12), Aric Krienert (12), Curtis Kralicek (11) Bryan Manzer (11), Brett Simmons (11), Cole Moes (11), Ryley Kumm (12), Brock Johnson (11), Tyler vonRentzell (11), Preston Koehler (11), and Tyler Reikofski. (11).
The rest of the team consists of a wide variety of grades, experience, and talent.
These rest of the team consists of a group aiming to contribute on the field: Dylan Wieneke (10), Blake Aschoff (11), Asher Wattier (10), Nick Reikofski (9), Alex Palu (10), Colton Beacom (10), Alex Alderson (10), Tristan Maertins (10), Zach Simms (10), Brenden Hille (10), and Drew Krienert (10).
Mr. Brummels’ goals for the team are to take the potential to the max.
He also hopes to help the team with a rewarding experience and as individuals.
Coach Brummels wants them to feel like they accomplished something when they are done which will lead to the team to be happy.
The team has good chemistry along with excellent senior leadership. They also have what it takes to be successful although they are not experienced in a successful environment.
Mr. Brummels states, “We can always teach them success which will lead to them having the potential to have excitement for success.”
Randolph, Chambers/Wheeler Central, and Stuart are the district opponents,
Stuart is one of more difficult because of their great successful history.
A tough game will be the first game because the team does not know what to expect. This game is played against Winside on their home field.
Bancroft also has good history and will be a surprise to play.
