Tigers fall short in Wynot
WYNOT—The Osmond Tigers volleyball team was defeated by Wynot Blue Devils on Tuesday night (October 18) in Wynot in Lewis and Clark Conference play.
The Tigers had a solid second set, but had difficult first and third sets. The score or the match was 9-25, 19-25, 10-25.
The Tigers produced 15 kills and six solo blocks. They added four ace serves.
Leading the way for the team was Hailey Johnson (Sr., MH) who had five kills and a solo block. Fellow senior Hannah Gutz (OH) had two aces.
Shelby Stelling (Jr.) had a nice game with four kills and a solo block. Andrea Schmit (Jr., RS) had two kills.
Makenzie Johnson (So., MH) added a kill and three solo blocks. Caitlin Kumm (Jr., S) produced a kill, an ace, and a solo block. She also had tix digs.
Mariah Stech (So., L) added digs.
The Tigers (5-14) will travel to face Creighton on Saturday, October 22 as part of the opening round of the Lewis and Clark Conference Volleyball Tournament.
