Three Tigers earn All-Conference Volleyball recognition
Kumm, Gutz, and Johnson slated as All-Conference
The Osmond Tigers volleyball team had of its members named to the All-Lewis and Clark Conference Volleyball Team. These were Caitlin Kumm, Hannah Gutz, and Hailey Johnson.
Kumm (Jr., S) was the only member of the team to be All-Conference First Team. Both Gutz and Johnson were All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Kumm was near the top of every individual statistical category. She was perhaps most dangerous when serving and setting.
She had a team-high 51 aces and 227 set-assists. She had 96 digs (2nd), 63 kills (4th), and 17 blocks (4th).
Gutz (Sr., OH) was the team’s primary target offensively. She put down a team-high 89 kills to go along with 18 ace servers.
Johnson (Sr., MH) was one of the Tigers’ core players at the net. She led the team with 35 total blocks. She posted 69 kills and 14 aces.
The Tigers (6-16) improved gradually throughout the year thanks, in part, to these three standouts.
Also contributing were Emily Bolz (Jr.), Andrea Schmit (Jr.), Shelby Stelling (Jr.), Haven Schultze (So.), Makenzie Johnson (So.), and Mariah Stech (So.).
These girls all played the maximum 59 sets.
Kennedy Johnson (Fr., 39 sets), Madeline Huwaldt (Fr., 7 sets), and Alex Brestel (Fr., 3 sets) are all up-and-coming players looking to contribute in the future.
Several of the Tigers’ divisional opponents also saw individuals recognized for All-Conference.
Maycey Forker, McKayla Brockhaus, Kirsten Adams, and Bailey Zimmer made it from Creighton.
Randolph had Maggie Gall, Carley Thies, Alyssa Fye and Molly Lemmons make the list.
Plainview’s Kylie Mosel and Carissa Wacker earned recognition.
Regan Hennings, Mary Johnson, and Clare Lundberg each made it for Wausa.
The Bloomfield Queen Bees had Leah Poppe on the list.
