Golfers win Districts!!
Tigers Claim District Team and Individual Golf Championships
The Osmond tigers won their Class D district title and state qualifying meet played at the Twin Creeks golf club in Pender on Monday May 14th. Osmond marked a team score of 359 and won by 29 strokes over runner-up Howells Dodge and Clarkson-Leigh. The Tigers now advance to the Class D state championships played at Lake Maloney golf club in North PLatte next week.
Senior Alex Kumm won the individual district medalist with rounds of 37-38 to card a 75 and won the solo title by six strokes. This marks the third time Alex has qualified individually for state play. Senior Tristian Maertins also qualified individually as he placed 10th with a round of 90. Osmond's other scored rounds were Drew Krienert 96, Brenden Hille 98 and Dylan Schmit 114.
Randolph Invitational
Osmond closed out their regular season of play last week as they teed it up in the Randolph Invite. The Tigers enjoyed another great outing as they nearly matched the previous weeks record breaking play. Osmond posted a team score of 328 which lands as the second lowest round in school history.
Senior Brenden Hille put together his career best round as he shot an 80 and placed 7th to lead his team. Alex Kumm was right behind with a round of 81 and a 11th place finish. Junior Dylan Schmit also carded his best career varsity round with an 82 and a 12 place finish. DRew Krienert finished in the medal group with an 85 good for 16th. Tristian Maertins finished just out of medal contention but played well with an 88.
