Tigers Improve to 5-0 after Creighton Blowout
The Tigers traveled to Creighton on Tuesday night and came away with a dominating 70-35 victory over the Bulldogs. Osmond immediately got things rolling, outscoring Creighton by 11 in the opening period and never letting up. The Tigers were able to see much success in scoring, a result of their overwhelming defensive pressure for 32 minutes. The boys in black stole the ball from their opposition 17 times throughout the game, resulting in fast break layups and shooting fouls. Osmond was efficient from the free throw line as well, making 20 of 24 attempts.
The Tigers once again experienced a balanced scoring attack, proving too difficult for Creighton to slow down. Merrix Denn led Osmond with 19 points, Graysen Schultze wasn’t far behind with 14 points to go along with his team-high 6 assists. Dylan Schmit cracked double-digits for the first time this season with 11 points, while Aaron Chishiba added 9 points and a team-high 6 rebounds.
