Lady Tigers showing improvement
Osmond Lady Tigers Improving
With the basketball season half over The Young Lady Tigers are starting to see the lanes and making less turn-overs. We are finally getting some consistency in our games. We will get some real test's this week and next week. Tuesday night we play the always tough Laurel-Concord Lady bears and then later in the week it doesn't get any easier as we play one of the best teams in the state Ewing's Lady Tigers. Next week is the start of Conference play. Tuesday we traveled to Bloomfield and lost in a very close game by a score of 47-35. Mary Kahny and Makenzie Johnson led our team in scoring with 12 and 10 points. Makenzie also led in rebounding along with Macy Aschoff, both pulling down 8 rebounds each. Osmond led most of the game but due to foul trouble and turn-overs, Bloomfield was able to come out on top.
Clearwater-Orchard Game
This game changed lead's a lot of times through-out the contest with O-C coming out on top 38-36. We had plenty of chances to win. In the closing seconds we missed 6 free throw attempts and gave the ball back to O-C to many times. We need to learn how to finish. Hopefully we can make some corrections before the next games. Leading the team in scoring was Makenzie with 16 points followed by Mary K. again with 11 points. Makenzie led all rebounders with 7 and all also stole the ball from O-C 4 times. Grace Gansebom followed in rebounding with 5 boards. Grace was close behind with 3 steals as well. This was a good team effort. Playing really solid defense were Elisa Herrera, Hayley Krienert and Maddy Huwaldt. Go Tigers!
