Lady TIGERS Win Second Game in Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament against Lady Pirates of Plainview 50-38
This was the third time we played, Plainview's Lady Pirate's. So far we have
managed to come out on the winning side in all three games. Wakefield-Allen defeated us
in first round play of the L-C Tournament, PHS also lost their first round game in
conference play, matching us up again.
OHS had a pretty balanced attack in this one. Only 19 turn-overs were committed as a
team while, stealing the ball 22 times,leading in steals were, Grace Gansebom, Maddy
Huwaldt, and Kiera Moes, with 4 steals each. Not all team members were able to see
playing time in this game, but it was still a complete team ef ort. Everyone of these young
ladies deserve credit in the victory. Top point getter was Kiera with 16, followed by
Maddy, Grace,Macy Aschof and Bailey Schmit, with7,7,6 and 6. Senior Maddy Huwaldt
led in rebounding with 7 boards. Our free-throw percentage has been improving as well as
our inside shooting. By quarters OHS scored 12,12,16,and 10. this was a pretty balanced
scoring game for us. Our record now stand's at 8-10 with two regular season games left.
District's are just around the corner as the season has gone by very quickly.
