2016 FBLA Week Activities
The Osmond Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is observing national Career and Technical education Week from February 7-13. Many different observations have taken place in chapters across the nation. “Connect” with FBLA is the 2015-2016 theme.
Activities were planned for each individual day of the week. The FBLA started with Monday’s activities being a Logo Hunt where students searched for the FBLA logo in the high school classrooms. Prizes were given to the winners.
Tuesday’s activities consisted of FBLA members wearing their FBLA T-shirts to show support for the organization. The regular monthly meeting of the FBLA was held with Janiek Kok being the featured speaker about her Exchange Student experiences. A “Minute-to-Win-it” contest was held afterwards, competition was keen among the participants.
Later in the week, “Cupid’s Cans” will be delivered to high school students. Friends sent friends cans of Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew or Orange Crush with clever sayings on them. Money raised from this event will be used for a charitable cause.
A “Dress for Success Day” will be held on Friday with students dressing as professionals. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. During the basketball game that evening, a cake raffle will be held.
Locker decorations with clever sayings on them relating to FBLA were added to each member’s locker throughout the week. Trivia questions were asked each day of the week and prizes were given to winners
