July 2017 Board Minutes





The Osmond Board of Education met at 8:01 PM Monday, July 10, 2017, in the Media Center. A copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building.         


It was moved by Moes, seconded by vonRentzell, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the July 05, 2017 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session.

It was moved by Koehler, seconded by Brummels to approve the consent agenda.

Superintendent Hamm reported on:  1) summer projects; 2) the milk bid; 3) advised the Board about the efforts to hire a para; 4) the status of the key inventory; 5) dispensed new policy manuals to each board member; and, 6) discussed board member insurance options.


Board member Koehler inquired about progress with MTSS.   Board President Reikofski commended the staff and students for their hard work preparing the facilities for the 2017/2018 school year.  Additionally, on behalf of the school district, she extended thoughts and prayers to Tiger Town Food Center and the Osmond Republican for the damage suffered in Sunday’s fire.

It was moved by Krohn, seconded by vonRentzell to adjust classified wages for the 2017-2018 school year as proposed.

The minutes of the meeting were read.


The meeting was adjourned at 8:47 PM.
