MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education was called to order at 8:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018. The meeting was held in the multipurpose room with the Open Meetings Act posted in the building. It was so moved by Koehler, seconded by von Rentzell. 6 For 0 Against
It was moved by Krohn, seconded by Brummels to approve the consent agenda. 6 For 0 Against
Superintendent Hamm provided the Board with a facility update and informed the Board about: 1) summer school; 2) the current accelerated reader program; 3) ESSA account coding; 4) the current status of the sale of the teacherage; 5) the NDEQ grant; 6) the NASB School Board Candidate Forum; 7) a Bullying Symposium that was attended by Mrs. Schmit and Mrs. Brummels; 8) CTE conferences; 9) drivers education, and; 10) Mrs. Baue's new assignments for the 2018-2019 school year.
President Reikofski thanked Mr. Ginn and Mr. Thies for their service to the district, wished them well. On behalf of the rest of the board, she thanked the entire staff for a successful school year.
Old Business: None
It was moved by Brummels, seconded by Moes, that we accept the changes to board policy as proposed by legal counsel and required by federal and state statutes to: Revise existing policies: 2006, 2007, 2013, 3020, 3023, 3047, 4012, 4013, 4014, 5008, 5017, 5026, 5035, 5037, 5045, 5054, 5057, 6021, 6027, and 6031; to Adopt new policies: 3049, 3050, and 6036; and to Delete existing policies: 4047 and 5027. 6 For 0 Against
It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Koehler, to approve a teaching contract with Mr. Cory Lenton for the 2018-2019 school year. 6 For 0 Against
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 PM.
