OHS is Back in Black
BY BRANDI GANSEBOM
The atmosphere in the entire school shifts as homecoming week approaches. Homecoming creates a buzzing energy that takes hold of the students at Osmond High School as they create decorations, put together costumes, plan for the dance, make posters for the game, and guess who will win king and queen!
This year, the theme for Osmond’s 2018 homecoming is Back in Black. Each class will decorate their designated hallway in various ways to fit the theme.
The seniors will decorate the football field and put together the float, which will make its way downtown Friday afternoon at 1:45 for the pep rally. Anyone is welcome to attend and watch students participate in fun activities!
The homecoming dress up days are as follows: 80’s day (sophomore choice for Tuesday), neon day (junior choice for Wednesday), and tourist day (senior choice for Thursday). Friday students are to wear as much orange and black as possible.
Candidates for homecoming queen are Madison Aschoff, daughter of Joe and Angie Aschoff; Mariah Stech, daughter of Brandon and Angela Stech; Makenzie Johnson, daughter of Don and Lisa Johnson; and Haven Schultze, daughter of Tim and Erin Schultze.
Homecoming king candidates are Jared Bessmer, son of James and Nancy Bessmer; Anthony Heiman, son of Dan and Frances Heiman; Nick Reikofski, son of Jay and Michelle Reikofski; and Dylan Schmit, son of Tom and Dottie Schmit.
