On Wednesday, November 28th, Wausmond one act traveled to Norfolk to compete in C1 state competition. There, they had a tough competition against Aquinas “Sending Down the Sparrows”, Fillmore Central “The Trials of Robin Hood”, Hershey “Soda Pop”, Malcolm “The Jungle Book”, and Ravenna “How the Other Half Dies”.
Wausmond performed very well for their first time in C1. First place was Aquinas, Second place was Ravenna, and in third place was Wausmond. Although, they got third place they performed very well. According to many audience members, they did very well.
“My favorite part of state is how many people there were to watch us,” Diandra Polt said. “Although I’m really sad the seniors are leaving, I think it will be just as fun as this year.”
“We performed very well at state considering how we had to adapt to a new stage and a new setting,” Brandi Gansebom said.
“I wasn’t surprised when we got third place at State,” Allison Aschoff said. “On stage our nerves were showing while we were performing. But next year we’ll do better. I’m almost certain of it.”
This years one act was a success, making people wonder what will next year's one act hold.
