Osmond FBLA Chapter - State Leadership Conference
On April 4-6, 7 members of the Osmond FBLA Chapter attended the State Leadership Conference in Omaha, Nebraska. Some of the activities we participated in were the opening general session on day one, the second general session on day two, and finally the awards program on the last day. In our opening general session we had a keynote speaker who was Holly Hoffman. Holly Hoffman was on Season 21 of the tv show Survivor Nicaragua, and she came to talk to us to inspire to take opportunities and focus on attitude, determine, confidence, desire, faith, and perseverance. The second general session, is when we found out who got all of the honorable mentions for all of the tests everyone took. All of the test that we took were Accounting 1, Advertising, Business Calculations, Business Communications, Business Law, Economics, Insurance and Risk Management, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Business Communications, Introduction to Business Procedures, Introduction to FBLA, Introduction to Financial Math, Journalism, Organizational Leadership, and Personal Finance. Connor von Rentzell went 4 out 5 of his tests for honorable mention, which included, Accounting 1, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Business Communications, and Introduction to Financial Math. Diandra Polt also received honorable mention in Advertising. On the third day we learned who got the top eight out of that test and who the top three in the event to qualify for the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Diandra Polt received eighth in Journalism. Connor von Rentzell also received eighth in Introduction to Business Procedures. Anthony Heiman got 4th in Business Calculations and 3rd in Personal Finance qualifying for the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio Texas.
