FFA Members Advance to State Proficiency Review
The National FFA Organization Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who,
through their supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs), have developed specialized skills that
they can apply toward their future careers. Nationally, students can compete for awards in
nearly 50 areas ranging from agricultural communications to wildlife management.
This year nine students from the Osmond FFA Chapter submitted applications for judging at the
District level based on their individual SAE areas. Applications are ranked as a Gold, Silver, or
Bronze with the Top 3 Applications earning a Gold in each award area being offered the
opportunity to compete at the State level.
The following FFA Members completed applications this year: Mason Gansebom Silver in
Swine Production Placement; Nick Timmerman Silver in Ag Mechanics Design and Fabrication;
Zachary Alderson Silver in Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance; Madeline Huwaldt 2nd Gold
in Beef Production Entrepreneurship - State Qualifying; Landon Stelling Top Gold in Grain
Production Placement - State Qualifying; Blake Bahr 2nd Gold in Grain Production Placement -
State Qualifying; Zachary Boyle 3rd Gold in Grain Production Placement - State Qualifying;
Ryan Schmit Top Gold in Diversified Agriculture Placement - State Qualifying; and Joshua
Gansebom Top Gold in Swine Production Placement - State Qualifying. Congratulations FFA
