Regular Meeting
02/11/20
The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in the multi-purpose room. The President announced and informed the public that a current copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building.
It was moved by Stanosheck, seconded by Krohn, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the February 5, 2020 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. For: 6 Against: 0

It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Stanosheck, to adopt the consent agenda as presented. For: 6 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on; 1) the wrestling program and extended a thank you to the board for the new wrestling mat; 2) the Wausa speech invite to be hosted in Osmond on Feb. 15th; 3) the 2020-2021 class offerings schedule; 4) the proposed 2020-2021 school calendar; 5) spring break; 6) science curriculum alignment status; 7) senior high quiz bowl updates; 8) speech night scheduled for March 16th; 9) conference honor band and Class D all state band chair assignments and selections; and 10) the May 1st Honors Convocation.
Superintendent Hamm reported on; 1) resignations; 2) Pierce County Government Day Essays; and 3) the school kitchen remodel
Board Comments: 1) President Reikofski mentioned the 20/20 Activity Center meeting being held on Feb. 12th; 2) spoke about the Sharing Committee meeting with Wausa regarding future sharing opportunities, with a planned meeting scheduled in June of each year with Wausa Schools; and 3) the board discussed criteria for open meetings and committee meetings.

It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Gansebom, to approve the negotiated agreement with the Osmond Education Association for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years. For: 6 Against: 0
It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Moes, to approve the school calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.

It was moved by Krohn, seconded by von Rentzell, to approve the teaching contract with Kimberly Miller to serve as the business education instructor for the 2020-2021 school year. For: 6 Against: 0
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:41 pm.
