MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R
The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:57 pm on Monday, July 6, 2020, in the multi-purpose room.
It was moved by Stanosheck, seconded by Gansebom, that it was determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the July 1, 2020 edition of the Osmond Republican and was convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared, passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. A copy of the open meetings act posted in the building.

It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Stanosheck, to approve the consent agenda as presented. For: 6 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on: 1) prom and graduation plans; 2) optional ACT test for current Juniors on 9/22/20; 3) the new class schedule; and 3) registration of students.
Superintendent Hamm reported on: 1) the kitchen remodel; 2) sale of old kitchen items; 3) bus grant; 4) accreditation; 5) policy updates and hearings; 6) filling the custodial position; 7) hand sanitizer and face masks; 8) the updated school schedule; 9) payment for the English teacher position; and 10) a possible upcoming community survey.
Board Comments: 1) The board discussed options for a possible new bus; 2) the status of the yellow building and fitness center; 3) commented on the sharing meeting with Wausa schools; and 4) discussed a tentative date of Monday, Aug. 3rd at 3:00 pm for a board retreat.
Old Business: It was decided by the board to not pursue resurfacing the track at this time.
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 pm.
