Tigers Tear Down Pins in Unified Bowling

BY BRANDI GANSEBOM

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Osmond students on the Unified Bowling team gather at Main Street Alley after school for practice. Under the direction of Mr. Hamm, the bowling coach, students learn new tactics towards perfecting their accuracy.

The first bowling competition was a duel between Osmond and Bloomfield held at Main Street Alley on Thursday, November 8. Osmond and Bloomfield each had three teams to compete for first.

Maddie Aschoff, Dylan Schmit, Connor von Rentzell, and Kayla Wingert lead Osmond Team 1 to a victory with a total of 745 pins. This score set a new school record.

On Saturday, November 10, Osmond traveled to Wayne for a tournament amongst nine different schools. Osmond Team 1 reigned victorious with 737 pins.

Maddie Aschoff, Dylan Schmit, Brandi Gansebom, Conner von Rentzell, and Kayla Wingert received first place medals. Osmond Team 2 (Ashley Wingert, Kenzie von Rentzell, Kenzie Schmidt, and Mason Gansebom) placed sixth with 532 pins.

This Saturday (November 17) Osmond will travel to Norfolk for another tournament. The meet will start at 10:00 A.M. The district bowling tournament will be held at Kings Lanes on Monday, November 26 at 10:30 A.M.
