Osmond Teacher Inducted into Wayne State College Football Hall of Fame

By: Meagan Wagner, Riley Willams, Juliana Kumm

It is with great pride that Osmond Community School celebrates the well-deserved induction of Bradley Wright, a revered teacher, mentor, and role model, into the Wayne State College Football Hall of Fame. The prestigious honor highlights Wright's outstanding achievements as a former college football player and recognizes his significant contributions to the sport.

On Saturday, October 14, Bradley Wright and the 2008 Wayne State Wildcat team were added to the College Athletics Hall of Fame. Mr. Wright attended Wayne State College from 2008 to 2012. For two of the four years, he was a starter on the WSC football team. This football team was the first team to ever qualify for NCAA playoffs in the school's history; they were also the co-conference champions. Their team was ranked in the top 10 in the conference for offense every year and never had a losing record. Mr. Wright was a two-time presidential scholar in football and track, with a school record in indoor shot and outdoor discus. Mr. Wright was also a two-time national qualifier in both the weight throw and discus and Mr. Wright said, "It was a great honor. We had about half the team show up for the banquet. It was a great experience that led me to who I am today because of my teammates, coaches, people from the college, and the community.”

Following his college football achievements, Wright transitioned into the field of education, sharing his passion for the game with countless students throughout his teaching career. As a respected educator, he has inspired generations of learners both in and out of the classroom, nurturing their academic growth and instilling valuable life lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. As Coach Wright takes his well-deserved place among the esteemed members of the Wayne State College Football Hall of Fame, Osmond Community School celebrates his accomplishments and expresses gratitude for his unwavering dedication to his athletic pursuits and his students. Through his passion and commitment, he has left an everlasting legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
