A group of talented student artists from Osmond Community Schools proudly displayed their artwork at this year’s Conference Art Show, highlighting both their creativity and technical skill in a variety of media.

The show, held in the Wayne State College Student Center Atrium, brought together student work from across the region, offering a platform for young artists to express themselves and gain recognition for their efforts. Pieces on display included drawings, paintings, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media - all created by students who dedicated countless hours to refining their skills.

Exhibiting artists from Osmond included: seniors Erin Wagner, Megan Kelly, Halie McCain, Carson Bolz, Keely Gubbels, and Brianna Kumm, junior Diana Scott, sophomores Rachel Kuehler, Delilah Koehler, Ashlyn Spangler, Ava Severson, and Addi vonRentzell, eighth graders, Trenton Wiseley, Bentley Frank, Nevaeh Newton, Ava Kumm, Evynn Kumm, Adalyn Koehler, Drake Kingham, Katarina Miller, Clara Steinkraus, and Kenley Friedrich.

Artists receiving first place honors included Erin Wagner x2, Delilah Koehler, Ava Severson, Addi vonRentzell, Ava Kumm, Evynn Kumm, Nevaeh Newton x2, and Bentley Frank.

Artists receiving second place honors included Megan Kelly, Brianna Kumm, Ava Severson, Carson Bolz, Addi vonRentzell, Adalyn Koehler, Bentley Frank, Drake Kingham, Katarina Miller, and Kenley Friedrich.

Those receiving third-place honors included Rachel Kuehler, Ashlyn Spangler, Halie McCain, Drake Kingham, Trenton Wiseley, Katarina Miller, Kenley Friedrich, and Clara Steinkraus. Senior Halie McCain was voted as the Outstanding School Artist for the Lewis & Clark Conference Art Show 2025.

“This show is an incredible opportunity for students to showcase their voices through visual storytelling,” said Jessica Evans, Osmond Community Schools art instructor. “Each piece represents not only artistic talent, but also individual thought, emotion, and hard work.”

The Conference Art Show fosters appreciation for the arts while encouraging young creatives to share their perspectives with a broader audience. For many students, this is the first time their work has been publicly displayed, marking a meaningful milestone in their artistic journeys.

Patrons visiting the event were impressed by the high level of creativity and craftsmanship evident throughout the exhibit. The students’ participation reflects Osmond’s commitment to supporting the arts as a vital part of a well-rounded education.
