Bowlers compete in Wayne, Norfolk
The Unified bowling team competed in their first meet Saturday, November 12. This is a new activity added to the NSAA list of sports this year. It is a joint venture between Nebraska Special Olympics and the Nebraska School Activities Association.
Two teams, one consisting of Kenzie Schmidt, Kayla Wingert, and Logan Campbell; the other consisting of Maddie Aschoff, Ashley Wingert, and Zach Sims competed at Wildcat Lanes in Wayne. There were a total of eight teams participating from Wayne, Bancroft-Rosalie, and Osmond. The Osmond teams fared quite well for their first outing. The first team finished fourth with 613 pins (three short of third), and the second team was fifth with 552 pins. They play six games utilizing the bakers format.
