The Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB), Board of Directors, and staff recognized 12 districts across the state, with the 2024 Board Awards during nine Area Meetings throughout August and September.
NASB is a private, nonprofit organization that serves the needs of Nebraska public school districts and Educational Service Units board members. Nebraska’s 1,700 school board members may participate in board development training annually by attending workshops and conferences to help strengthen their role in governance, legislative advocacy, and stewardship of district resources to support student achievement. In recognition of their volunteer time and commitment to education, the Association recognizes continued participation and growth in best practice governance.
Gretna Public Schools was recognized this Fall for earning NASB’s President’s Board Award.
