MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R

11/08/21
The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:03 pm, on Monday, November 8, 2021 in the multi-purpose room.
It was moved by Krohn, seconded by Reikofski, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the November 3, 2021 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members present having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared, passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. A current copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building. For: 5 Against: 0
The annual evaluation of the Superintendent was discussed. The workshop was adjourned at 8:00 pm.

Regular Meeting
11/08/19
The Osmond Board of Education met at 8:03 pm, Monday, November 9, 2021 in the multi-purpose room. A motion to open the meeting was made and seconded at the preceding Board Workshop.
Patron Input: 1) Curt Bennett, a representative from ESI Electronic Systems, spoke to the board about the bid provided for a possible new intercom and clock system; 2) Kyle Overturf, District Auditor from AMGL, gave an overview of the 2020/2021 district audit.
President Moes excused absent board member Gansebom.
It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Stanosheck, to adopt the consent agenda as presented.
For: 5 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on: 1) the honors breakfast; 2) parent-teacher conferences; 3) conference vocal clinic and concert; 4) conference quiz bowl teams; 5) winter sports practice and upcoming games; 6) 7-12 vocal concert; 7) Thanksgiving break; 8) one act play performance, conference and district performances; 9) Christmas concerts; 10) 2022/2023 school calendar; and 11) safety drills practiced this school year.
Superintendent Hamm reminded the Board about the NASB state conference on November 17-19 and reported on: 1) Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance rates for next year; 2) teacher negotiations; 3) a staff appreciation gesture; 4) the Veteran’s day program; 5) safety audit; 6) bus rebates; 7) ESSER III funds; 8) sharing committee update; 9) new students; 10) social studies position; 11) para position; 12) and the bus barn.
Board Comments: President Moes welcomed member von Rentzell back to attending the evening’s board meeting in person.

New Business:
It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Krohn, to approve the 2020/2021 district audit. For: 5 Against: 0
Superintendent Hamm's evaluation was discussed with comments made by President Moes on behalf of he and the board commending Hamm on a job well done and thanking him for his service.
It was moved by Krohn, seconded by Reikofski, to approve the purchase of a new intercom system in the amount of $15,418 and a new clock system in the amount of $6,324. For: 5 Against: 0
It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Stanosheck, to approve the reviewed board policies in the 1000 and 2000 sections, with no changes being made to said policies at this time. For: 5 Against: 0
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 pm.
