Mason True Posts Three Top-Six Finishes at Wausa Invite
The Osmond track and field teams competed Thursday, April 23, at the Tom Martin Memorial/Wausa Invitational, with several athletes earning top-eight finishes against a strong field of competition.
Mason True paced the Tigers' boys team with three top-six finishes on the track. True placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.59. He also added sixth-place finishes in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, posting times of 24.61 and 55.54, respectively.
On the girls' side, Clara Steinkraus recorded an eighth-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet, 81⁄2 inches.
Kenley Friedrich earned seventh place in the high jump after clearing 4-8, while Evynn Kumm placed seventh in the 400-meter dash in 1:07.62.
The girls' 4x800-meter relay team of Siris Stanton, Nevaeh Newton, Deanna Kumm, and Carriana Kumm also turned in a solid performance, finishing seventh with a time of 13:12.17.
The Tigers continued to gain experience and build momentum as they moved toward the final meets of the season.
