Osmond Competes Well at Conference Track Invite
The Osmond Tigers turned in several strong performances Saturday, May 2nd, at the Lewis & Clark Conference Track and Field Invite in Creighton. Their performances were highlighted by top-three finishes from Mason True, Kaleb Gardner, and Easton Steinkraus.
True led the Tigers on the track with a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run, clocking a time of 2:10.66. He also earned fourth place in the 400-meter dash in 53.83 seconds and added a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.74.
In the field events, Kaleb Gardner posted a pair of top-four finishes. Gardner placed third in the discus with a throw of 134 feet, 7 inches, and added fourth place in the long jump with a leap of 17-6.
The Tigers also showed strength in the triple jump, where Easton Steinkraus earned third place with a jump of 37 feet, 1⁄4 inch. Gardner followed in fourth place at 36-41⁄2, while Trenton Wiseley added a sixth-place finish with a mark of 35-3⁄4.
On the girls' side, the 4x800-meter relay team of Siris Stanton, Nevaeh Newton, Deanna Kumm, and Carriana Kumm placed sixth with a time of 13:08.9.
Korrine Moes recorded a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 33 feet, 1⁄2 inch, while Clara Steinkraus added a fifth-place medal in the triple jump with a leap of 30-5.
The Tigers continued to show depth across both track and field events as they competed against conference opponents at the annual meet.
