MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R
Regular Meeting

The Osmond Board of Education met at 4:33 pm, Monday, February 8, 2021 in the multi-purpose room.
It was moved by Stanosheck, seconded by von Rentzell, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the February 3, 2021 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. A current copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. For: 5 Against: 0

President Moes excused absent board member Gansebom.
It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Krohn, to adopt the consent agenda as presented. For: 5 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on; 1) class offerings for next school year; 2) the 21/22 school calendar; 3) third quarter progress reports; 4) wrestling, girls & boys basketball sub-districts; 5) quiz bowl competitions; 6) speech meets; 7) Class D all-state band; 8) spring break; 9) updates to the schedule of State basketball tournaments; 10) spoke about the low number of boys junior high athletes due to current enrollment numbers; and 11) the medal presentation for the Wausmond one-act performers.
Superintendent Hamm reported on; 1) Osmond’s NSAA fall scholar athlete awards and congratulated the recipients; 2) the Resolution from Senator Gragert, commending the Wausmond play production and its directors; 3) the census numbers for 3 & 4 year-olds; 4) an upcoming sharing meeting with Wausa schools 5) an update on concrete specs; 6) an update on the architectural drawings for the yellow building; 7) ESSER II Funds; 8) possible new math textbooks for elementary; 9) staff team meetings; and 10) the new propane bus.
Board Comments: 1) The Board visited about the upcoming sharing meeting with Wausa schools; and 2) the upcoming focus group meetings.

New Business: It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Stanosheck, to approve an administrative contract with Kurt Polt for the 2021-2022 & the 2022-2023 school years as proposed. For: 5 Against: 0
It was moved by Stanosheck, seconded by von Rentzell, to approve the offering of a sign-on bonus for an English Language Arts teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.

The minutes of the meeting were read, at which time the board went into recess.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:03 pm.
