MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R
JOINT MEETING
WAUSA PUCLIC SCHOOL AND OSMOND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
07/02/2024
The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in the Wausa Public School’s gymnasium. It was announced and the public was informed that a copy of the open meetings act was posted in the room.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Rice, that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the June 26, 2024 issue of the Osmond Republican, along with the Wausa Gazette and on each school website. It is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared, passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session, with all members being present.
For: 6 Against: 0
The district purpose statement was read.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Rice, to approve the consent agenda as presented. For: 6 Against: 0
Progress Reports: 1) The respective Osmond and Wausa board of education members provided progress reports on Agricultural Education, Wresting and Football programs.
Discussion Items/Identifying Next Steps: 1) Discussions were had regarding review of independent conversations/goals held at the previous board meetings; 2) timelines of what each group would like to accomplish; 3) needs to be put in place to continue steps in working together; 4) commitment to a feasibility study; 5) other areas of potential commitment; and 6) timelines of these types of commitments, and what it would take to get there for both schools
regarding times/resources, etc.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Rice, to adjourn the meeting at 8:14 pm. For: 6 Against: 0
Notice is hereby given that the next regular meeting of the Osmond Board of Education will be on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 8:00 pm at the school. An agenda is kept continually current and is available for public inspection in the Superintendent’s office during regular office hours.
