The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:01 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022, in the Multi-Purpose room. The President announced and informed the public that a current copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building.
It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Krohn, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the March 9, 2022 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. For: 5 Against: 0

President Moes excused absent board member Stanosheck.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Reikofski, to approve the consent agenda as presented.

Principal Polt reported on; 1) the end of the 3rd quarter and report cards; 2) the band trip to Branson; 3) prom and post prom; 4) ACT test for Juniors; 5) 3rd quarter honor breakfast; 6) Easter break; 7) graduation; 8) Kindergarten round-up; 9) first track meet of the season; 10) the first golf meet; 11) an update on the new bell system; 12) the library donation from Michaels Foods; 13) class registrations; 14) district and state speech; and 16) Class D All-State band.
Superintendent Hamm reported on; 1) the past month’s Superintendent meetings, webinars & work in progress; 2) thanked Reikofski Farms for their generous donation of beef to the school lunch program; 3) Mrs. Tunink taking over some of the secondary counseling duties next school year; 4) the annual school donation to TeamMates; 5) spoke about possible junior high sports transportation; 6) sports co-op survey results, thanking all who participated and made arrangements for the community informational meeting; 7) board policy 6028; 8) personnel updates; 9) RFQ for energy savings; 10) community clean-up day; 11) suggested reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to start each board meeting; and 12) discussed board meeting start time of 7:00 pm for the April meeting.
Board Comments: 1) President Moes shared a thank you note received from Michelle Beacom; 2) congratulated the speech team for being District champions, thanking Mrs. Kuhl and Mrs. Marks for their service to the speech program and wished the speech team good luck at state; and 3) Reikofski spoke about the upcoming NASB meeting.
Old Business: None.
New Business: It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by von Rentzell, to approve reviewed board policies in the 6000 series; amending board policy number 6028. For: 5 Against: 0
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 pm.
