POLICY HEARINGS
7/11/2022
The Osmond Board of Education met at 7:47 pm on Monday, July 11, 2022 in the school library.
It was moved by Reikofski, seconded by Krohn, that it is hereby determined that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the July 6, 2022 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. A copy of the open meetings law was posted in the building. For: 6 Against: 0
The hearing for Policy 5018 – Parent and Guardian Involvement in Education Practices was opened at 7:49 pm and adjourned at 7:50 pm.
The hearing for Policy 5045 – Student Fees was opened at 7:51 pm and adjourned at 7:52 pm.
The hearing for Policy 5057 – District Title I Parent and Family Engagement was opened at 7:53 pm and adjourned at 7:54 pm.

REGULAR MEETING
7/11/2022
The Osmond Board of Education regular meeting commenced at 7:54 pm.
Patron Input: None.
It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Stanosheck, to adopt the consent agenda as presented. For: 6 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on 1) details learned about the SAFE2HELP program; 2) the main box for the new bell system; 3) new student registration and current student drop/add scheduled for Aug. 4th; 4) teacher in-service work days scheduled for Aug. 11, 12 & 15; 5) first day of school on Aug. 16th; 6) elementary open house on Aug. 15th; 7) Chromebook meeting and check-out scheduled for Aug. 15th; 8) indicated he’s working on updating the plaques for male/female athletes of the year and hall of fame recipients; 9) reported on 22/23 high school football numbers; and 10) noted that a girls freshmen basketball camp was attended in O’Neill.
Superintendent Hamm reported on 1) Mrs. Ginn helping Plainview schools with their 5th & 6th grade band program; 2) a matching grant proposed by Terry and Linda McClain; 3) possible Career and Technical Education Award; 4) the new insurance premium; 5) the upcoming Federal Grant Audit; and 6) discussed the contract received from Facility Advocates.

New Business: 1) The board reviewed the Safe Return to Learn Plan; and 2) reviewed the District’s America Rescue Plan / ESSER III plan, noting that the board has selected Facility Advocates as the Energy Service Company and have an approved plan from the NDE for the HVAC project for the gymnasium.
The minutes of the meeting were read.
The meeting was adjourned the meeting at 8:34 pm.
