MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION #42R
REGULAR MEETING
05/09/2022
The Osmond Board of Education met at 8:01 pm on Monday, May 9, 2022, in the multi-purpose room. The President announced and informed the public that a copy of the open meetings act was posted in the building.
It was moved by Krohn, seconded by Gansebom, that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the May 4, 2022 issue of the Osmond Republican and is hereby declared to be duly convened in open session. All members having voted in favor of the motion, the same was declared, passed and adopted and the following proceedings were had and done at said meeting in open session. For: 6 Against: 0

It was moved by von Rentzell, seconded by Reikofski, to approve the consent agenda as presented. For: 6 Against: 0
Principal Polt reported on; 1) the last day for students; 2) teacher work days & staff check-out; 3) final grades and report cards; 4) Kindergarten round-up; 5) K-6 elementary field day; 6) district and state track; 7) community clean-up day; 8) district and state golf; 8) thanked the custodial staff including Keesha, Julie and Kenny for cleaning the gym for graduation; and 9) along with Mr. Guenther, provided an update on the progress of the Osmond-Randolph sports co-op.
Superintendent Hamm thanked Mr. Polt and Mr. Guenther for all of their work thus far on the sports co-op; and reported on; 1) personnel updates; 2) community clean-up day; 3) staff resignations; 4) provided an update on the recent meeting with Facility Advocates; 5) complimented the students and staff on this year’s and last year’s superb ACT results; 6) spoke about some of the logistics of the Osmond-Randolph sports co-op fund; and 7) NSCAS and MAPS testing formats going forward.
Board Comments: 1) President Moes relayed to Mr. Polt and Mr. Guenther to reach out to the board’s sharing committee for anything needed during the sports co-op process; 2) Gansebom asked about exit interviews for employees and senior classes; and mentioned that it may be a good idea to speak to the local real estate agents to have them offer a school visit for any potential new residents with children.
Old Business: None.
New Business: It was moved by Gansebom, seconded by Stanosheck, to approve the hiring of Amber Albrecht as a part-time teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.
